THEY’RE HERE! gotta go eat now bye

Editor’s note: While CL is off with her face in a bucket of strawberries, please feast your eyes on some of the highlights of the past few strawberry seasons. Witness the glorious display of berries available for such a short, short time. This season started early. More specifically, in the words of the farmer… “I’ve been doing this for more than 50 years and never picked a strawberry in March.”

In a good season, you can grab them by the gallon.

And just in case you go a little crazy one week and buy two gallons of strawberries and end up with a few more than you can eat in a week, they make excellent syrup for cocktails. And ice cream. And the inside of cinnamon buns, hold the cinnamon and add pistachios, please.

The Farmers Market is held every Saturday, just in time for weekend breakfast. If you’re really lucky, there is a short, short, short sweet spot where strawberry season and blackberry season and blueberry season overlap. :::swoon:::

They are most excellent even for healthy breakfast.

And good for dinner, too. Especially with a little farm fresh goat cheese.

The next time CL complains about the noise here, remind her that strawberry season comes every year. And for a few weeks she will hear nothing but angels singing in her head.
