Don’t Mondays sometimes seem to span about three-quarters of the week? Poor Monday, it gets so little love.
It’s in that spirit that today I bring you… love. Found in the nooks and crannies of life, in places you wouldn’t think to look but find it anyway.
These are some of the ways the universe has found of bringing a little love into my life… even on Mondays.
I swear I did not do that on purpose. I could say I did and be much more impressive, but it’s pretty neat to know it just happened. Also, pancakes = love anyway, so it kind of makes sense.
A very loving potato. And I loved it right back, by roasting it with some olive oil.
It’s hard to say who loves all these gorgeous peppers more… me or the bowl.
Speaking of peppers, they bring a little of their own love once you slice them open. Look at that contrast. Show-off. (I love you anyway!)
That’s an onion ring. From Burger King. It showed up in my lunch just last week. Burger King loves me so much that it sticks around on my hips for like three months before the Peloton convinces it to let go. It has an air of pretzel about it but if you squint your eyes sort of like you’re looking for the hidden picture in those Magic Eye 3D drawings, you can totally see the love.
Love on a walk through the woods. I’m lichen it. See what I did there?
Not to be outdone by the lichen, this rock got in on the game. One walk, double the love.
The true heart of a tree.
I love bread so much it only seems fitting that it would return the sentiment once in a while.
This little beauty captured my heart the moment I stepped out of the car in the driveway when we moved to Brigantine. It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
SOMEbody loved that heart. I swear it was like that when I opened the box. Must be that Hello Kitty. She gets into everything.
Don’t you hide back there, I know what you did! I love you anyway. Or maybe because of.
Now, go forth and find love in the world.
