I set myself a few goals this year. Nothing grandiose, more like tasks, really. Things I could do and then look at and say yup, did that. One of the things I decided to do this year is gratitude journaling. Maybe you’ll have a little better day because of it. And maybe you'll even share it with me. I'd be most grateful.

We lost a friend recently, and all the usual things got said at the wake. I said some of them and wished I could have thought of something better to say than I’m sorry. I also reflected on whether we're living life while we've got it.

I like to reflect on the past, smile at the good things, scowl at the bad and look for ways that it can inform my present. Today I’m reflecting on the year that we called 2016, which was pretty damn interesting, in that Ancient Chinese Curse kind of way. Here’s how it went.
